Mr. Harisankar K. Sathyapalan is a PhD Candidate at National University of Singapore. His area of research lies in International Arbitration, Conflict of Laws and Transnational Commercial Law. Formerly, he was an Assistant Professor of Law at ational Law University, Jodhpur and Founding Executive Director of the Centre for Advanced Research & Training in Arbitration Law.
He represented the South Asia region in an International conference hosted by the Friedrich Neumann Stiftung (FNSt), held in Germany in 2009. He completed his B.Sc., LLB from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala and holds an LL.M. in International Trade Law & Maritime Law from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He is a recipient of the NUS Graduate Research Scholarship and the Visiting Research Scholarship UNIDROIT, Rome. He has received the Friedich Naumann Stiftung (FNSt) Fellowship for an International Seminar on Law, Liberty and Public Policy at the International Academy for Leadership Theodore House Akademie, Gummersbach, Germany. He was also awarded a full scholarship at The Hague Academy of International Law (2008) and at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore (2008).
